Re-lo — relocation real estate platform

Moving services · coming Q3 2026

Moving services — coming Q3 2026.

Buying a home is half the job. Re-lo is building a vetted concierge layer for the part most platforms ignore — the actual move. Cross-state, cross-border into Canada, and cross-border into Mexico. Below is the scope we’re building toward; drop your email and we’ll let you know the week it goes live.

What we’ll handle
Within the U.S.

Cross-state moves

Relocating between states is logistics-heavy but procedurally simple. Re-lo coordinates vetted long-haul movers, transport, and storage so you arrive without losing two weekends to phone calls.

  • Vetted interstate movers with binding (not estimated) quotes — no day-of price surprises
  • Door-to-door vehicle transport (open carrier + enclosed options) coordinated with arrival date
  • Professional packing + unpacking crews, or a self-pack discount if you prefer to handle boxes
  • Short-term storage (30 / 60 / 90-day) at the destination if your new home isn't ready
  • 12-week relocation timeline with utility transfers, mail forwarding, voter + DMV checklist
  • Insurance walk-through — full-value protection vs. released-value, and what your homeowner policy already covers

U.S. → Canada moves

A U.S.→Canada move is half logistics, half customs paperwork. Re-lo handles the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) filings and pairs you with movers who know how to clear the border without your container sitting in a yard for six days.

  • CBSA Form B4 / BSF186 (Personal Effects Accounting Document) prepared from your inventory list
  • Vehicle importation through the Registrar of Imported Vehicles (RIV) — admissibility check, recall clearance, federal + provincial inspection booking
  • Pet entry paperwork — current rabies certificate, USDA APHIS endorsement for dogs from high-risk regions, provincial health certificate if required
  • Bonded mover selection so household goods clear customs in transit (no warehousing delays)
  • Provincial health-card enrollment timing (OHIP, MSP, RAMQ) — most provinces have a 3-month waiting period
  • Tax orientation — departure tax from the U.S., Canadian residency start date, and which retirement accounts cross cleanly

U.S. → Mexico moves

Mexico is the fastest-growing relocation destination for U.S. remote workers and retirees. The visa path (Temporary or Permanent Resident) determines what you can import duty-free — so Re-lo sequences the consular appointment before the moving truck.

  • Menaje de Casa preparation — itemized household-goods inventory, consular certification, and customs (SAT/aduanas) submission
  • INM Temporary or Permanent Resident visa coordination — consular interview prep, document apostille, and Mexican-side regularization within 30 days of entry
  • Customs broker (agente aduanal) engagement for the household-goods shipment — Permanent Residents qualify for a one-time duty-free import window
  • Vehicle decision tree — Temporary Import Permit (TIP) vs. permanent import vs. selling stateside; what's eligible by year, weight, and visa class
  • Bilingual school enrollment — public, private, and international (IB / American / British curriculum) options in CDMX, GDL, Mérida, Playa del Carmen, San Miguel
  • Bank account setup, RFC (tax ID), CURP (national ID), and IMSS / private health-insurance comparison
