Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Re-lo Inc. (“Re-lo”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use tryrelo.co and related services (the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Account data: name, email, phone, password (hashed)
- Profile data: home country, target relocation market, role (buyer / seller / wholesaler / agent)
- Search and engagement: saved searches, saved homes, inquiries you submit
- Chat intake submissions: listing details, attachments, conversation transcripts (wholesaler / agent role only)
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device + log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer URL, pages viewed, timestamps

- Performance + error monitoring: via Sentry (anonymized stack traces and request metadata)
1.3 Information from third parties
We obtain property listing data from data providers and public records. We may receive contact information from your real-estate agent or wholesaler when they submit you as a buyer lead. We use Google / Apple SSO when you authenticate via those services (we receive name + email only).

- To match you with relevant listings, advisors, and partner brokers
- To send you transactional emails (inquiry confirmations, saved-search alerts)
- To send marketing communications you may opt out of at any time
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security, and technical issues
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
3. Sharing
We share information only as described below:
- Service providers: hosting (Vercel, Supabase), email (Resend), error monitoring (Sentry), analytics (privacy-respecting only)
- Inquiry recipients: when you submit an inquiry on a property, your name + contact info goes to the listing owner / assigned advisor
- Legal compliance: when required by law, court order, or to enforce our rights
- Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred — subject to this Policy
We do not sell personal information. We do not share data with third-party advertisers for retargeting.

- Do-not-track: we honor browser DNT signals
5. Cross-border transfers
Re-lo is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection standards than your country of residence. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for EU/UK data transfers where applicable.
6. Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active, plus up to 24 months after deactivation for fraud-prevention and legal-compliance purposes. Inquiry transcripts are retained for 36 months. Server logs are retained for 90 days.
7. Security
We use industry-standard practices: TLS in transit, encryption at rest, row-level security on user-owned data, hashed passwords (argon2), and periodic third-party security audits. No system is perfect — we ask you to use a strong unique password and report anything suspicious to security@tryrelo.co.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, email privacy@tryrelo.co and we will delete it.
9. California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have additional rights including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” (we do neither). To exercise these rights, email privacy@tryrelo.co.
10. EU/UK residents (GDPR)
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Our legal basis for processing is typically consent (cookies, marketing), contract performance (account, inquiries), or legitimate interests (security, analytics).
11. Changes
We’ll notify you of material changes via email or prominent in-Service notice at least 30 days before they take effect.
